What do I need to convert to HID angel eyes?

Just picked up my first BMW a 128i convertible, manual 2009 with 6,000 mi. Upgraded sound and cold weather package for 26K...I think it was a pretty good deal.

I would like to convert the stock 128i headlights to the angel eyes with xenon bulbs. Can someone layout exactly what I need. Links would be much appreciated.

your options are to get

A) HID depo projector lights, but they are known to have lots of errors and unreliable
B) Shell out some serious $$ for OEM ones. They are really expensive, like 1,500 and you need to get them coded as well.

Does your injen intake and magnaflow exhaust void the bmw warrantee? I am guessing BMW will only allow BMW performance parts?

^^NO, no aftermarket part will void your warranty, unless the part caused the failure. Tuning(chipping) your car is easier for dealers to pin things to, so that's why you hear alot about that, but most often, exhaust/intake, etc, never causes issues.

OEM route will require you to contact your dealer. Each Xenon headlight is about 700 dollars, plus you'll need the xenon control unit for each at about 400 dollars, plus misc parts. Low/high beam bulbs are about 200 each as well.

Aftermarket route, just search "Depo" "bavarian exclusive LS1" or "sonar" here on the forum. There have been a few people who have gone this route, and it looks great. Some earlier adopters have had issues, but others seem to have had no problems.

Here's a big thread about aftermarket options:
