LOL of course they'll say that. I don't think this will be a 1M situation, but I don't expect huge discounts either.

The price is really nice, only a little more than my 135i was optioned out. Of course, I didn't buy my 135i new, and $55K on a car is a lot of money for most people.

BMW won't give any discount, because they'll skim the cream for a couple of years. As for price, out the door with taxes and fees, you'll be looking at close to $60K. That's hardly worth it for essentially an M235i with an extra 55HP and and a few bits of updates here and there.

As for my 135i, it's faster than I want to go and handles just dandy. It's my Sweet Baboo!

The M235i is certainly a very capable car for sure. However, many would probably disagree with the characterization of the suspension, steering, eDiff and M-DCT from the M3/M4, and a chassis and engine tuned by the M division as 'a few bits of updates here and there'.
