I am very interested in the wheels, I applaud you for stepping up as a vendor and making this available.
We are running max negative camber up front (approx -2.5*). A 18x8.5 +38 plus 5mm spacer and we don't rub on the fronts fenders at all. This is effectively a 18x8.5 +33 offset. Should be just fine on a street setup ( 235/40/18 front & 255/35/18 rear) with factory alignment specs of less than 1* camber in the front. This would be very easy to test on a stock 135i for a definitive answer.

Paintpro, have you got a pic of the 18x10 et25? I am assuming that it will still be a perfect fit on that one and no rings are needed? Also would the pricing of the 18x10 be the same as the 18x9.5? And please do look into producing that matt bronze one you mentioned in the other thread!

We've been making tweaks to the 18x10" et25 wheel this week so our 3D drawings are out of date. The spokes are significantly more concave, and the barrel lip changed so that it can clear 388mm 6 piston BBK under the 18" wheel.

Here is a 2d info on an e36/e46. 1 series brakes are much more recessed.

out of date 3d (again please note the spokes will be even more aggressive then this as per 2d above)

Those offsets would NEVER work on a 1 series unless it's a widebody front and rear. That's an ultra wide E46/e92 m3 fitment. He was just curious about the wheel. Ignore the above information in relation to the 1 series fitment/wheels.

Thanks for the info, when I get my car back I'll do some measuring.

Ok Paintpro, I would like to be part of the group buy. But I want the 18x10 et25 and 18x9.5 et62. Can that be arranged? Also price of the 18x10 is the same as 18x9.5?

Just to clarify, on a stock suspension, will these correct offset 18x8.5 f/18x9.5 r wheels rub with say, 235/265 tires mounted?? Also, is there any decrease in the handling due to such high offsets?

Thanks!

No offense, but there is no chance in hell of fitting 18x10 with a 25 offset .. It will look like this and rub like crazy

Btw, rcracer_tx, a high 40's front offset on an 8.5" wide wheel is going to require a spacer. I have ET41 on a 9" wide wheel now (which is equivalent to a ET47 8.5" wide wheel, offset wise - as 6mm = ~1/4"), and need a 5mm spacer, as the tire was jammed into the strut (not just rubbing).

This wheel's ET38 offset is perfect for our cars to fit 235 (and wider) up front.

Oh, that makes sense then, thanks for clarifying that... I was thinking he was going for the stretched look, which would just look horrible IMHO...

It's really weird how much difference there is with people running the same offsets... People have had an 8" wheel with a 35 offset to work, and when I had them test fitted, I couldn't get even a 225 tire without rubbing...

And you had problems running a mid-high 40's offset with an 8.5" wheel, and others have it fir perfectly such as silverbullet...

19x8.5 +46 offset with a 235 tire:

It really makes you wonder why there is such a huge difference between wheels with the same offset and width...

My car will be fitted with the Evolution Racewerks dry carbon fibre widebody front soon. It extends 2.5inch on each side. I am still trying to dial out understeer on my car. I am already running a square set up on r-compound and nearly -3 degrees camber at the front. My plan is to run 265 r-compound all around.

Every BMW suspension that I've seen has a strut tube that isn't parallel to the hub mounting surface. So the further out you go from the hub the further away you are from the strut tube. A 19" wheel would then be further from the tube, and could have a lower offset. a 17" wheel would be closer and would need a more aggressive offset to clear it.

But even a bigger issue is the significant difference in tire widths from one make to another even with the same size range.

both tires sizes are 205/50/15 but the TOYO R1R on the left is clearly wider.

You can Put me down for a set. Most likely a set of Antrhicite... maybe hyper silver.

but if I don't want to wait for 6 months. Would like a little better pricing, too... but then again i don't get a BJ before i leave for work every day either.

Thanks,
Ben
