Stock Tips on PE

Anyone know if you can put the stock black exhaust tips over the PE? I want to keep the blacked out look. Or do I need to ceramic coat? Powder coat? the S.S. PE tips?

Apparently this guy managed to put the old ones back:

That been said, I initially thought I also wanted my PE to keep the black stealth look and now I just think it looks awesome. Gives a little extra sporty touch.

I liked both but I think with a carbon rear diffuser such as iCarbon the chrome and unrolled tips of the PE look really aggressive on the car. I'd be careful about screwing up your PE tips if you plan on reselling the PE someday.

My car is metallic graphite with matte black wheels. I'm afraid the SS tips will not match the rest of the car. I guess if I don't like it I can always get it coated with high temp paint.

It's really not that hard, simple cut and clamp or cut and weld.
