Help finding axle supplier?
Spun my right rear axle joint on my 2010 manual 135i...trying to track down one for less than oem price of $500+. I've been searching all afternoon and have found no solid results. Would love to find another GNK to put back in it. Open to any suggestions on suppliers...other than dealer.

I like the mfactory ones but who's to say the next time instead of snapping an axle joint I wind up breaking the pumpkin or something in the wheel hub. I feel like having the stock ones is more of a fail safe for not breaking those, but if I snap them again I'm definitely going heavy duty. I looked on eBay and I have found some right rear for 128i's. Will they fit the 135i and don't they have to be manual?

The 128i uses a different axle.
For your 135i it looks like these are the correct part numbers: 33207568730 33207568731 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...44#33207568730 It's kind of strange there is a LEFT and RIGHT axle in the ETK. Back when I owned a Porsche it was a common practice to reverse and flip the drive shafts when you had a lot of mile... to change the wear pattern from the cv joint balls under acceleration. Your axles are used in lots of cars... perhaps look at the used parts places/yards. 1' E88 (11/2006 — 10/2013) 1' E82 (11/2006 — 10/2013) 3' E90 (03/2006 — 09/2008) 3' E90 LCI (07/2007 — 12/2011) 3' E91 (03/2006 — 08/2008) 3' E91 LCI (07/2007 — 05/2012) 3' E92 (06/2005 — 02/2010) 3' E92 LCI (11/2008 — 06/2013) 3' E93 (10/2005 — 02/2010) 3' E93 LCI (11/2008 — 10/2013) http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=33207568730

In case anyone else is looking for a solution for axles that can handle more than stock power....I called Mfactory and there's is still 2-3 months in R&D and will only support 475 ft lbs. After talking to some people I was directed to The Driveshaftshop in NC. I called them and Tad Neal was able to build both my axles to hold 1,000 ft lbs for the same cost of the Mfactory. Install just like OEM and you cannot tell the difference.

Maybe try Raxles?
http://www.raxles.com/ Edit: Oh, just saw that you already replaced them. Raxles is pretty highly regarded in the roadrace world. |

The DSS re-use your oem CV joints and only change the centre shaft. They "may" be same/similar cost, but you don't get the same for your money. With the MFactory axles, you also get brand new upgraded CV joints and you don't need to send us in your oem axles to get rebuilt. |

If you're looking for upgraded axles for similar price of oems, there was a thread about this not long ago.
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=426063 Here are the links to the upgraded axles http://www.driveshaftshop.com/import...ternal-upgrade
