All I want for Xmas is...
My car is on the Trianon - due into Freo on the 6th of Dec. What are the waiting times from dock to door? Does anyone think I'll get it before Xmas? Can't wait.http://www.1addicts.com/forums/images/smilies/drool.gif

My 135i landed in Freo on 9 Jul 08 and I took delivery on 25 Jul 08. All the cars that come off the boat are sent to a delivery prep yard in Belmont before being distributed to the dealers. It was very busy around the time of my delivery but things may be different now with the downturn.

Yep as long as the Trianon steers clear of Somali pirates we'll be sweeeeet.
What are people's thoughts on having the car held at the dealer's until the New Year with the intention of registering it as a 2009? I can't be bothered myself, but a buddy getting his R36 soon is thinking of doing it. |

i got the call from my dealer about this compliance issue too. the car is a present so i can't take them up on the offer even if it was a brilliant idea, but i still want to know why it is a good idea. i'm guessing resale value, right?

Depends on how long you plan to hold the car... if only for a couple of years change of compliance year or registration can make a small difference.... beyond that KMs and condition matter more than compliance year as the "book" values have over lapping ranges...
