sport shift mode

Is it okay to flip the DCT shifter into sport shift mode while running a JB4?

Is this a real question? Best performance is sport button pushed, DTC button pushed, Shift lever in sport position, manual gear selection used & shift lights set to about 5900 rpm.

do you mean by DTC button pushed to turn off traction control? What do you mean by shift lights?

also at high speeds/acceleration sometimes the turn signal lights in the dash blink on and off. what does this mean?

You push the DTC button to get the warning light above the speedo tach to light up. This prevents the ECU from cutting off the fuel when the wheels slip. Its a bad plan to also turn off the stability control so just push the button in & let it go. With the JB4 you can set the system to do this automatically on startup which is what I do.

The blinking turn signal lites are the shift lite - default is 6000rpm but it can be set to anything with the steering wheel controls.

Best thing you can do is go to the BMS site & read the instructions & info on the BMS site & n54tech.com

The topic is to broad to try to spoon feed anyone like this. Read then ask questions about what you don't understand

No Map 5 has a lot of top end range for both N54/55. I run consistent 15.9 to 17.5 psi depending on RPM on map 5 with 93 + 30% E85 on just a JB4 G5 ISO with a FMIC on the 335is.

Map 1 is limited to 12.5/13psi while map 2 is 14psi for both N55/54. On Map 5 the N54 has an extra psi @ 17. There is no reason the N55 can't pull 15+psi on Map5 with 93.

The best map for me on a 93/100 mix is a custom Map 6 which runs a similar boost level to Map 5 but has a fixed boost schedule by rpm without any variation.

Have not fooled with the 135is that much but its pretty good on a 93/100 mix @ map 5 but not as strong as the 335is.

I have to look into the DME version on the 13 135is. Not knowing too much about it, supposedly they can flash to an earlier version that won't cut back engine power, not even sure if this is the case.

I would imagine cars manufactured after a certain date have the anti-tune software and some don't. I would assume the newer cars have this.

I'm having a hard time believing I can walk into the dealer and say I have DME version x and want DME version y. I could be wrong tho....
