Question MHD Bench Flash

Does anyone know of a shop in Melbourne that can do the bench flash (Jailbreak) for e-series for MHD flashing?

SouthernBM or Auto Racing Technik should be able to.

Spent quite a bit of time researching this myself. ART are the only place in Melbourne who have the right tools, experience and attitude towards tuning to do the job.

If anyone is serious about bench flashing, custim dyno tunes or following the soon to be released flashing procedure by MHD, shoot me a PM.

Ok, I am obviously missing something here..

But don't you just need an Android tablet to flash a MHD tune (or a custom tune) on E series N54 and N55 cars?

I remember when MHD came out for N55 a few months ago, it was a big breakthrough and everyone was talking about it.

So why do E series N55 guys still need bench flashing?

unfortunately those of us with a 2013 require the DME to be unlocked first.

Ahh ok, is it only the 2013 N55 E series that requires unlocking the ECU first before flashing with MHD?

Or does the 2011, 2012 and all other years N55 E series require this step too?

And do you need to unlock your ECU even for flashing a simple MHD Stage 1 or Stage 2 maps? Or only for custom tunes?

I have a N54, so this won't apply to me, but I find interesting to learn about this anyway. And I have a few friends with N55's

1. yes

2 maybe, depending on which ECU the car has as there is 2 different ones that you can check on that bmw oem website. MHD also has listed the compatible cars and the instructions on how to check on the main thread i believe.

3 no?

Any shops in Sydney able to do this, or anyone have experience shipping the DME to a Melbourne shop to have it done?

Thanks

-edit-

Looks like mhd are in the final stages of private late e tests, and hills eurohaus in sydney are hoping to offer bench flashing in 2-3 months.

Nice!
