I'll be driving it from Maryland to California in two weeks for a permanent move. Right now, my round trip commute is 65miles a day. At my new shop, it will be around 15miles a day so theres a big improvement there.

And thanks all

We got our yearly rain last week, so we're good and you won't have to worry about that awful winter weather. Where in CA you headed?

I'm slated for a technician job at BMW of Encinitas, but I'll be living in Carlsbad.

Except you need a convertible to better enjoy that PE in that beautiful beach town you'll be living in.

Congrats on the new job.

I'm at like 4600 miles and today she turns 10 months old. How time flies. I'm going to try to start putting some more miles on her perhaps.

I'm around 5500 miles @ 7 months on March 7th. The last 500 or so miles mostly spent going through Griffith Park's mountains (because no traffic up there).

Ouch, that didn't take long, only 6 months old and 4300 miles. Wonder how he managed that mess without any airbags deploying

Is it weird that I looked for the PPK badge when I saw the pictures, too? Mostly cause I wanted to make the joke if it had one to say, well, at least it has the PPK badge.

Can't understand what happened to it as on many levels it looks like a rollover accident since damage to both sides and sunroof area bent, but doesn't really look like a rollover. Almost looks like it hit a group of deer or pedestrians.

135is CSI,

Greg

I'll take an 850CSi please.

Maybe it ran into a snow bank?

Just dropped by the dealer to have a look at the 228i and the M235i. I will say that it doesn't look as bad in person as it does in photos. With that said, I still prefer almost everything about the 1-series over the 2.

EDIT: I also sat in it to check out the new steering wheel. I thought it looked nice in pictures but it doesn't feel as nice as the wheel in our cars. Perhaps thats just my being used to it.

No pics? What color was the 235? I will say the only color it seemed to look good in (to me) in pictures was alpine white.

It's interesting that some people have said it's a great steering wheel, but it looks much thinner than ours and I love our beefy wheel with the perforated leather. I think it's one of people's favorite things about the 135 with m-sport package is that steering wheel. I was obsessed with it on my test drive a year ago and just kept squeezing it. The new one looks weird and unappealing to me and the buttons, while more modern looking, don't look as effective.
