Love the rain pic. Is it real rain or post-production rain. I suspect the latter, but don't like to guess

Stunning! I am really starting to think that the BSM is the best looking color for the 1M! My obsessive nature prevents me from getting a black car ever again though.

thanks guys, my buddy is quite the photographer. The rain pic is real rain, you can see my soaking hair if you look close enough. The track in question is Race City here in Calgary, AB. Since I haven't had my run in service yet I took it easy. I was on the heels of a 996 911turbo the entire time. I have a highly modded mr2 with super stiff everything so the 1m was a real pleasure. This track is super rough and the suspenion on the 1m takes all of it. Tires are amazing but you have to be careful, I powered hard out of a couple of corners and ended up doing full on drifts. The mechanical lsd works wonderfully and is predictable.
The car pulls much much better than a 335is, even at part throttle. I'm hoping that if I do get KW coilovers that it won't ruin the ride of the vehicle. BSM is a hot color on the car, it looks so sinister with the black grills. I think once it's lowered with a minor wheel spacer the car will look serious. I'm obsessive as well so I only drive the car on occasion. I use fresh microfiber towels each time i dry off the car. |

Our track runs from the end of April (sketchy) until the end of October (extra sketchy), it's unique because it's one of the few tracks in North America built within the city limits. Problem is land is so expensive here that the track is being torn down and replaced with something much less interesting.

Ive seen all 3 in person and the BSM was by far the most impressive, the car has such a presence in BSM. I too cannot get it bc of my obsessiveness. My favorite color of the 3 is AW but that had the least presence IMO. I went with VO for that reason and the fact that I own an AW 135.

I too have seen all three colors in person, and all three look great; however, it is a sad reality that black hides most of the details/lines of the car - so I find it interesting when some people say "it looks best in black". Is this indicative that these people like to see less? Take these specific pictures for example: picture number 1 barely shows the rear bumper's details/slit, pictures 2 and 3 barely show any details of the front bumper, and some of the details are entirely gone. By the way, nothing against black, I have owned 2 black cars in the past, and I can certainly admire a glossy/spotless black car.

But black just looks pure evil! Sure, in pictures it's hard to see some curves and details but it just looks plain bad ass tough! I've owned many black cars and it's just a royal pain in the arse to keep them clean and avoid swirl marks in the paint. It was a tough decision for me but black was a very close second.

KW should be a good choice ... We are getting a set for our 1M hopefully before the 3 days of Laguna Seca event. I'll report back if we get them on time... |
