just out of curosity, my fellow hong kong mates,what proportion of new e90 drivers in HK drive manual cars?
Singapore and HK are both densely populated Asian cities and I think i am the only e90 guy with a manual 6 sp gearbox to date. Tried an e46i 318i auto before the E90 and an E36 325i manual in UK. Manual boxes definitely appeals to my driving style.l

The start location is Canton road near the Gateway area as per your suggestion. Then we will drive to the Kowloon Heliport (Where the E60 gangs gathered) and then to the airport bridge lookout. I think you will be the lead car since you are familiar with the final destination

Btw, would you suggest any more precise portion of the Canton road? I only guess the left side at the start of the Canton road seems to be a lot of people doing casual parkings/waitings.....you know the famous noodle restaurant........may be 9am on a Sunday morning the road should be quite clear that we can see each other.

Ok, you lead the way from Canton road to the Heliport. From there, my wife will drive on. I should be taking a video from the back seats by then.

The other E90 parked on my home's same floor parking lot is a manual ! Everyone I heard is saying the car feels great with manual. I really admire people driving a manual as a daily commuter in this traffic jam tiny little HK. I saw guy in my office building even driving a Lotus Elise as a daily ! These are true fanatics. Not me though

We will still come out to meet even it rains. We may then decide where we go to take photos, probably somewhere with roof.

Good point. According to the weather forcast, the weekend will be cool and a little rainy. This is the best time to test our cars and shoot some nice photos of the cars in the rain ( you don't even need to worry about to wax your car

) . Hopefully, we will get some sunny intervals. Bring your umbellas!!

Sure.

At 8:30am Sunday, If the rain is not too heavy, we can stick with the original route, have a nice ride, then gather at the Ching Ma Bridge outlook and line-up for photo sessions.

If the rain is really heavy, we need to decide whether we still want to go to the Ching Ma Bridge. Not sure if outside the lobby of the Trade Exibhitbition Hall in Kowloon Bay has a roof or not ?

It was a nice gathering and the atmosphere at the Gold coast is great! Thanks kelvinso for his suggestion

It was fascinating to see so many E90s together and the looks from the people on the roads. I guess we should plan to drive to MK to draw more attentions!

As you guys want me to share other members' contact details, I will e-mail you the list probably tomorrow.

Since the meet was a success, any one has any suggestions on our next meet?

Now, for those who took alot of pics today (you know who you are) We are waiting for the pics but remember to delete the license plates (I know it's a boring thing to do). For sure we will have the special plates we discussed today on our next meet.
