POTHOLE!!!

I just hit a f*cking pothole! I'm scared to death that I bent a rim or damaged my car I checked my rims and DIDnt see anything. Is there any other way to see if I damaged anything?

Look for bubbling in the sidewall. Likelihood of damage is:

tire>>>>>wheel>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>suspe nsion

Also, if the pothole was big enough (needs to be massive) its possible that the under body cam into contact with the ground and scraped.

Chances are that if you bent a rim it is probably on the inside lip due to the way suspension travels. You'll need to take it to a wheel shop to have that checked out. If you have run flats on your car that will help in absorbing potential damage to the rim too.

If your tire is holding air and there's no bubble, I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone hits potholes. Everyone. 90% of the time it's fine.

If it were me, I would get the alignment checked and have the wheel balanced to be sure everything is fine.

When you guys say bubble what exactly do you mean? Because on my front left tire it looks a little wet in a certain spot but I think that's due to the stuff the rub on my wheels after I get my car washed

The tire no longer looks the correct shape. It will have a swell or mound (can be pretty small) that looks kind of like an under inflated balloon.

Think of a lump on the tire...it'll look like your tire was stung by a bee, along those lines. Should be very obvious if it's there. Unless this pothole was truly gargantuan, your car is probably fine. There isn't a single member on this board who has NEVER hit a pothole.

Ohh ok thanks bro! Yea I didn't notice anything on the tire so I might be ok... I'm just freaking out right now cause I need to get new breaks soon, and I can't afford all this at once

Bent a rim of the pothole, and bubbled the tire. Then needed a alignment. New tire, rim repair and alignment....$800

I was going about 45 MPH 4 blocks from my house. I thought a 155MM Artillery shell landed on my car. I knew immediately something was broke....
