Was dicussing this with a couple of friends tonight. Given that if I place an order now, I won't receive it till July 09 anyway, we have all decided and wait for the hype to die down. We may all order one together (potentially 5 cars) some time next year for 2010 delivery. Not a bad plan.

Factory M3 sedan did it in 1:17.2 from memory. That is quick! Is this a test by AMS or something? Linkie?
As for GB, you are in Michael! I will let you know when the time comes. |

Prof, GB is group buy! So anyone who is interested has until middle of next year to decide. That is when we will be placing the order, hopefully with a massive discount!

You and me three
No surprises I also love this car... Although I really don't think a group buy will produce any savings - if that's your reason for it - that mentioned price tag of 145k on road is fantastic...that's already lower than Nissan had stated...WAY may I ask, where exactly did that info come from ??? At 145k on road for an R35 GT-R, for our Aust. market, that would be the performance car bargain of the century...I may have to break my 'self imposed' rule of not going over 100k for a damn car :iono: And if it's a confirmed fact, I think Motor Mag. already have the future Aust. BFYB winner |

I know there's a grey importer in NSW who can get them for around 120k on road, but they couldn't provide me with 'solid' details about after sales warranty etc. so hence I'm not interested despite the savings... If that 145k is a dead set confirmed Nissan Aust. price, I'll have to go into a dealership and register my interest !!! From what I already know, only a small number of Nissan Aust. dealers will be licensed to carry, sell and service the new GT-R and it's costing them a fortune to set up specifically for this duty... |

I love this forum. Where else would you get people talking group buys of a $150k car! And I thought the GB of the diff was mad.
I am soooo out of my depth here.

WAY, when you are ready. I will bring my clean C/C and pay the deposit.
I think Dr. G wants to know whether he is having a son or daughter before buying the GTR... haha.

Crumbs! Don't you guys know we're going into a recession!
Agree about the Aston Way. I drove up to the hunter valley when I had it and on the freeway I've never seen people jump out of the right hand lane so fast to let me pass. Think they just wanted me to go past them so they could have a look and a listen - but nobody challenged me My wife deosn't want me to get the GTR 'cause she thinks its a drug dealers car:smile:

LOL guys
Yes, it's a great forum attitude people have here, where you can discuss cars other than that of the forum in question with equal enthusiasm as the forum car, which we all obviously love  I'm a member of quite a few forums and some of those are very 'one eyed' and so biased towards the specific forum car type, that you get flamed big time if you mention or show interest in anything else how can you be a car enthusiast and only like a singular type/brand of car :iono: Anyway if I can't get more info on this latest piece of the GT-R's pricing here, I'll have to drop by a Nissan dealer ASAP and find out what the go is  I still would like to get my hands on a 135i coupe more than anything else ATM though  |

For the same price, I think I'd prefer a C63 rather then a GTR. But I decided a 135 was a better then a C63.
