Distinguishing multiple BMW keyfobs

Anyone in a household with more than one current model BMW?

How do you distinguish/mark/etc the different keyfobs?

I'll surely be driving my wife's 328 sedan frequently, and want to avoid mixing up hers with my own key as much as possible.

Easy. BMW give you a sticker card which has some numbers or has a picture of a male/female to put on your keyfob. You didn't get this? Should be in with your manuals

Its how my girl and I distinguish keys

Yup, very cool little extra IMO. One of the first things I did when I got back to the hotel after picking up the car.

Male/female sticker. Originals have 1er keychain. The 'spare' has BMW spinner keychain. Hers also is heavier because of the CA.

540, well... that's just a key with remote

Not true...if you open the car with comfort access, depending on which key fob you use, the mirrors will change (and seats if you have power). I have CA and that's what I was told when I picked up the car at the PDC. So I have on male/female sticker on my 2 CA key fobs.
