not even 3 days old before its in the body shop!!!
So I just picked up my friends in my new 128i to show off how amazing it is. Our light turned green we progressed though the light when this b**** turns left, right into the drivers side of my car. We do a 180 and this is what happened (pics below). No one was seriously injured and we all had our seatbelts on (three of us) but I still can't hear out of my left ear. ugh this sucks! I am waiting for estimates on repair costs

What a nightmare. Hope it gets fixed to your satisfaction and becomes and distant memory. What a shitty thing to happen.

Dude, that's a huge bummer. I still don't have my 1 back yet and it's been 5 weeks since my accident. Tell whatever body shop it's at to get a head start on that rear quarter panel. Mine had to come straight from the factory and delayed things by a couple of weeks. Also get a lawyer, especially if you've been injured. You absolutely want to make sure that everything (including you) get's put back to normal.

Do you have new car replacement on your policy? And does your policy exclude Diminution of Value. A repair like that is going to severly impact the value of your car. Make them pay.
Glad to hear you guys are OK though. |

Make sure there's no damage to the unibody frame. If there is ask insurance to replace as new. Get a lawyer as well if your hearing problem persist and I bet you your muscle going to start aching tomorrow.

Don't sign any medical release forms until you have been completely checked over by a physician. You might have damaged nerves or a concussion that won't show up for a couple of weeks.
As far as your car goes, fight like hell for a replacement. That is one serious accident, and with that amount of damage and repair, the car will never be as new. |

Man, too bad it's not a total. That is going to put a dent in your resale value for sure. I got lucky when I had my prelude and got hit 3 different times, with the last time getting it totaled. I got a lot more than what I probably would have gotten if I tried to sell private. I'm surprised the window didn't shatter or crack. Good luck.

Around $5k. Mine was similar (door and rear quarter panel), but it also involved replacing both rear rims and a CF mirror cover. On MOnday when it will supposidly be done it will have taken 6 weeks. Latest delay is BMW dealership not able to reset the TPS.

Don't forget about reduced value reimbursement. My sister's 328 was t-boned 6 months ago and in addition to the repair the other guy's insurance sent her a check for 3K to compensate for the reduced trade-in/sales value of the car. Check into it.
