Cool UPDATE PICTURES.. Portfield rs pads + slotted rotors break in method

does any one know the right way of break in method for these pads should i do afew 60mph run and brake hard , but not hard enough were abs kicks in?? ****UPDATE PICTURES*****

read what the manufacture recommends for the pads. The kind of rotors has no effect on break in method AFIK.

You should have got some instructions in the box with the pads. Every manufacturer is different. My ferodo pads say to do something like 25 stops at 50% race brake pressure, not coming to a full stop, can be done consecutively and through turns as long you give them time to cool after. Some want you to give a bit of time before each brake, others say to do HARD stops (more than 50% brake pressure), others have different numbers of stops, etc etc. Check the manual!

Interesting tid bit...no race team goes out and does a break in of brakes....they just go out and use them haha.

They do for sure

On their warmup lap

It's either that or trash a few $k of pad, rotor, and potentially caliper... If not a few $hundredK of car when their brakes shit themselves

did i install my rotors the right way? the reason i ask is because i see some members installed there rotors the opposite from how i have them .

Which direction you install the rotors depends on the company and how they did the internal vanes in the rotor. Follow the rotor manufacturer guildelines, for some there may be no right or wrong way.

each rotor had sticker on it one had a (L) and the other a (R) im guessing thats Left and Right?
