Chargepipe install and help?
Well my chargepipe install didn't go as easy as everyone stated. First off my stock pipe has this pipe that isn't pictured in anyone elses? what is this?
second problem was that I bought my pipe from ECS tuning which did not have good customer service and assistance when I tried to call them. The pipe is good quality but it came with a ridiculous retainingring almost impossible to install even with good pliers. Lastly can anyone direct me with a proper way to run the air line from the intake manifold to the BOV. I currently just ran it through the T split and with a one way valve, but I am unsure if this is right? I have to attempt to install the BOV again but hoping I can have this done before I take it out and back in. |

You can safely leave that extra tube off. I think it is just there to improve the intake sound on the stock setup.
Not sure about the retaining clip you have. I have the AA charge pipe and it just reuses the stock clip. For the bov line, I replaced the entire line with a vaccum hose that was shipped from the kit. You don't need the T anymore since you just have one BOV. If you end up replacing the whole line, it's probably smarter to put a cut down the side of the hose where it attaches to the intake manifold. This should make it easier to pull off. That intake manifold nipple is plastic and easy to break off. |

OP I don't see the issue, sounds like you have this 95% taken care of.
Yank the plastic T, there's no need. Just run a directly line from the manifold to the BOV. Done deal. I have no idea what that clip is though...Must be specific to that charge pipe. Extra tube thing on the OE pipe is useless, do not worry about it.

Do be careful when you run the vacuun line from the manifold to the BOV. If you choose to remove the vacuum line from the nipple on the manifold make sure you don't break it off. It is very fragile and will snap with very little force applied.

Shiv from Vishnu, etc called this pipe a resonator. I don't think it was on 335s. It's for sound, probably causes unnecessary turbulence and is better removed.
