NEWB COBB question
ok so i have an 09 n54 135i i just purchased an n54 cobb ap unit v2 used. problem is my car is at dealer i plugged the module in an e46 m3 to see of it works and it did so i checked to nake sure it was unmarried and it was, but when i was trying to read codes it said something about cable information or no communication i tried my vw same thing. is this normal? does it only work for n54 in order for it to communicate

As far as I know only N54. It will not be a 'reader tool' for other cars.

thanks alot guys. its my first tune nd i happend to purchase it while my car was at the dealer. i jist wanted to make sure it operates properly becuase i bought it used
