Dinan intake
Could this be retrofitted to our cars?

Probably, look under your hood and see if there is clearance for the pipe. Otherwise, you'll just need to mock something up for the bumper snorkel and you should be ok.

If you have stock 128i bumper non Msport - look up somethign called - Sink drain/ air duct mod for e39, You can use plastic air ducts to direct air. There are people who even used pot light surrounds to get the air flow
