Look into Torco Accelerator... 100% works the same as 100+ unleaded race fuel for me and has never caused me problems on any of my vehicles. ever. It just works. But then again most "octane boosters" do not use MMT like Torco does to actually increase the octane.

Does anyone know what the standard service schedule is when it comes to spark plugs? Peter @ Advan took mine out today (highly recommended service!) and at approx 95K km they look like they've never been changed!

BMW says to change the plugs (N54) every 45K miles or 60K kms. I beleieve for N55's they can go a wee bit longer, but not much. In the USA the spark plugs are covered under the free maintenance plan.

Mopst tuners say to change the plugs every 25K to 30K miles. BMW themselves for the 1M say to change the plugs are 30K miles.

I do mine every 20,000km's. I'd recommend this if tuned.

Are the plugs the same for an N52?
i should get mine changed, unsure if mine have ever been changed. (90k kms)

no they're not

especially for a tuned N54, having colder plugs wouldn't be amazing for the N52.
