New AccessPORT Maps for BMW N54 Automatic Vehicles
COBB Tuning is happy to announce a new firmware update which includes new mapping for all automatic BMW 135i, 335i and 535i vehicles. These maps address the “rough shift” and poor shifting experienced by some users during full throttle driving and shifting at redline. This update also adds more ROM support to the AccessPORT. Users that are currently supported via beta firmware can now update to this final release-version. If you are currently experiencing issues with a non-supported ROM, update your AccessPORT to this release to add full support. To update your AccessPORT to 1.6.3.2-2309 firmware, simply plug the AccessPORT into your computer, launch AccessPORT Manager, and click the Updates button in the top icon bar. The AccessPORT will not need to be uninstalled to perform this update. These newest calibrations are available right now from the COBB Tuning BMW Map Database. For more detailed information on maps and revisions, please consult the BMW Map Notes, Firmware Release Notes or call COBB Tuning at 1-866-922-3059. We offer different throttle mapping to give you more options. There is no "better" option, it is all up to your personal preference and driving style.

Just flashed my car with it and experienced some minute hesitations. Temp outside is 101-102 with AC on.
Will retest in the AM with AC off and see. Selected Map 93 Oct V203.

I felt the same thing too, this TX heat sucks. I'm gonna try the v203 alternate throttle 2 with the more aggressive onset. May be an improvement.

Does this address the cruse control issues? I prefer to not use my feet at the track...too much work.

Just to be clear these new maps are for ALL cars, not JUST automatic transmissions right? Since there is no standard 202 on the site anymore, the 203 maps will work on my 6mt right?

(ACN map) I felt the same thing, it was only 90F here though. It shuddered for ~20 seconds(very mildly), then it was fine. Hasn't shuddered since, no matter the temp.
Are there specific maps for various mods? I have the BMW perf exhaust and was curious if there was a special map for that. Another question, after installing stage one, is the car's instantaneous mpg measure accurate? |

In decent temps with AC off I'm not experiencing the issue any longer. It still is over 100 most of the day here tho.

Are you noticing this hestitation while driving or at idle or just low speed? Usually this is associated with the AC engaging (if you have the AC on). It will make the engine shudder a little bit when the compressor kicks on as it saps quite a bit or power off the engine. It will do this even when you are just driving about. Of course as you have more power on tap, the effect is less noticeable. Drive a small-displacement 4-cylinder and it feels like you are hitting a brick wall!
Try turning the AC on and off and see how that effects the drive. Try it in the heat too, just to see if it is indeed the AC or some other heat-related issue. Travis COBB Tuning |

I have an 08 manual 135i running the v203 map with 93 octane and I CANNOT modulate the throttle at all! Light driving and full throttle are fine, but once you put the throttle to 50% or more the throttle plate is 100% open and I cannot give it less unless it's a lot less. Please advise because this makes driving the car at 80% effectively impossible, it feels like an on/off switch... If I go full throttle and then let off just a little the car is still accelerating full steam ahead. Please tell me there is a correction for it being impossible to modulate the throttle.
