1M market value
Just did a search in Autotrader, there are about 16 for sale in US, one in Canada and the lowest is 59K:

Not sure if this is really representative of the 1M "market value." Obviously the seller can ask whatever they want but the true market value will be determined by the price these cars eventually sell for. I would be surprised if any of them sell for the sellers asking price. I bought mine over a year ago for less, with less miles than most listed.
FWIW, I went by the VW dealership selling the VO in Dallas and they are asking $57.5k. |

Yes 1M's price stays at top since its discontinue. though its hard to sell it here since not all people here wanted to drive manual for a car cost around 110k ...
price drop is only about 5-8% here.. only 50 available in indonesia. |

I've been continuing to look and KennyPowers and Icrain are both correct. Those cars are not selling at those prices. Most have been there for some time. Patience will get you a fully loaded 1M for around 51-52

thats for asking prices, I just looked at the black book value, 40000$... don't be surprised at what the dealer is willing to give you....

Checked USA Kelley blue book availability
It shows 10 cars, cheapest is $58.9k and most expensive was $67.5k... 6 were VO, 3 were AW and 1 was BSM.
I also priced my car for a value as in a private sale and it says $51k for fair condition up to $58k for excellent condition Food for thought that value is so high and is actually near dealer asking prices. Trade-in values were $47.3k-$54.7k

Also, be weary of some of the 1M's listed by a handful of BMW dealerships for the low to mid $60's (on AutoTrader). A handful of those are former Driving Academy cars. |

Yes, yes, wary. I'm so thankful we have English teachers here to set me straight. :P
Heh, no, seriously, I do appreciate it. I've been weary all week. (And yes, it's only day 2.) |

Let's approach the issue from a different angle to get a better understanding.
If the 1M is not put up for sale:
Give this out of the box thought a chance too.

The ones for $60+ don't sell. Even the dealer with the Dinan modded 1M has reduced the price to $59.8k and it too isn't going anywhere. The PDC cars on autotrader are overvalued.
It doesn't matter how rare these cars are, if there's no-one willing to buy at a sellers price, then values are off Buyers set the market value, the rest is just academic. |

only cash buyers at these prices as no banks will finance $60k for a 1 series. Trade in values are high $40's, dealer auction prices were mid $50's when those BMW driver cars hit the market.
