RWD in the snow? Post your pics!

This morning I woke up in CT where I had to dig my way out of our driveway. My wife and kids were staying home for the day, I had the option of working from home, but no. Oh, and there sat a Chevy Tahoe with 4WD or my BMW 135i. Which did I take to work? Oh hell yeah!

I know you guys have some cool pics of your 135i enjoying the snow. Post em' up!

LMAO! Me too! I kept thinking how cool it would have been to stop at various locations but envisioned a plow flying by.

Some pictures from right after I got the 135i less than a month ago and it was still pretty clean. We've had quite a bit more snow since then and some fresh stuff today so maybe I'll play and then get some new pictures this weekend.

Wow, great pics. I assume that's Montego? Always loved that color. And I know when IEDEI wakes up in the morning, he'll be drooling over and excited to see your pics, too. Who knew our lil sports cars could be such fun and handle so well in the snow.

How many km on your car? I have 2008 with 67,000km and the rotors look like crap. Do you know if yours have been replaced?

Ignore the rust stain and notice the uneven contact of pad to rotor. The I-drive says I have 100,000km of pad life left on these original set up!

Thanks! It's Le Mans Metallic Blue. I wasn't familiar with Montego but after some googling I see that Montego and Le Mans are very close. Also the snow can make it difficult for the camera to get the colours right.

Mine had ~58,000 km in the pictures, getting close to 60,000 km now. I do not know if the rotors have been replaced. There are no records indicating they have. Your picture must be of a rear wheel? I'm adding another picture that shows the rear although it isn't a close-up so I cropped the original to show it better. I think I see what you mean. Mine has the same kind of ring along the inside but I think it is smaller.

Sadly not. Cameras were just getting covered in snow instantly. It was still coming down pretty fast.

Car is filthy here, but I took it this morning. It snowed on early Friday morning for about 5 inches. Gotta love love RWD in the winter!

No I did not. I just got the car in mid December 2013 so maybe the previous owner or dealership did something. It is also pretty cold here and although they do put salt on the roads, they use a lot less around here because it is usually too cold for it to have any effect. It's usually pretty cold and dry here so that might help keep the discs shiny. I'll have to see how they do in the long term.
