Hood Damage
Hey 1Addicts,
I have a question. Last afternoon I look outside my apartment window at my car to what looks like a huge dent, but convince myself it is just an optical illusion. I then go out to inspect it to reassure myself but it's a HUGE dent right in the middle of the hood. I then realize that there is construction going on beneath my apartment and approach the contractor who will not admit to anything even though his people are really the only people who have been moving things heavy enough to dent the car, but believes that the dent is due to someone sitting on the car. I am no expert on dents but it really does not look like a but level dent. What is my next step? -Dat boi vesh |

I doubt you will get anywhere with the contractor, and you don't know if someone did sit on your hood - so it seems to me that your only action now is get your insurance co involved to get it fixed. Usually if something happens to a vehicle when the vehicle is parked, it falls under the "comprehensive" area of coverage, is not considered an "at fault" incident ie. should not raise your rates.
But being as you are in Louisiana, who knows?
