Here's something you don't see every day! An E87 130i Hatchback with APEX EC-7's:

Give us a call today for your own set of EC-7's in a direct 1-series fitment and we'd be happy to assist you!

That car is lowered on coilovers, and there wast not any added negative camber in front from what we were told.

Garage List
Hi

Couple questions...

1) What would it take to get an 18x9 et42, 255/35-18 RS3/Z2/PSS to fit?
2) If that's too aggressive I assume 18x8.5 et45 with 245/35 square would fit?
3) I see the picture of the 235/265 combo, wouldn't that rub on stock M-sport suspension because it's too tall?

Thanks in advance

Any plans on M235i fitment?

Front: 7.5J x 18 LM
Rear: 8J x 18 LM

Your current 1 series fitment probably fits? (although would they fit the stock 225 front 245 rear?)

Without major modifications and a lot of negative camber, the 18x9" ET42 will not be able to fit on the 1-series chassis due to it's limiting fenders and suspension. The 18x9" ET42 extends 9mm towards the fender in comparison to the 18x8.5" ET45, which is extremely aggressive especially when used in conjunction with a 255/35/18 extreme summer tire. With a tire that is wider than 235/40/18 is being used with the 18x8.5" ET45 EC-7, a 3mm wheel spacer must also be installed, otherwise the tire will start rubbing the strut or spring perch. The 245/35/18 tire size would require either M3 front lower control arms, or camber plates, in order to achieve negative camber in the front due to how close the wheel and tire is in relation to the fender. As for the rear, the 18x8.5" ET45 will sit at the same exact spot as the 18x9.5" ET58 would on the fender side, so there would not be any rear fitment issues.

There has been plenty of customers using the 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 street tires with the 18x8.5" ET45 and 18x9.5" ET58 without any issues with OEM suspension and M-Sport suspension as the tires still sit under the spring perch without any problems if the alignment is within OEM specifications. There has been accounts where 235/40/18 tires being tall have caused a slight rub the plastic inner fender liner when the car is out of alignment. Plastic liner rubbing is usually considered acceptable by most owners, but it is something to look out for as the gills in the liner for the oil cooler can some times stick out towards the tire more than normal.

We do not have the information available for the M235i fitment in the US quite yet, so we have not been able to do any testing. Once we have a M235i available for us to test, we can confirm the wheel fitments and tire sizes that would work for that chassis.

cool thanks!

Any new wheel styles coming out soon? Love the weight of the Arc 8 but the style of the EC-7 - you should combine them
