Because if there's a DTC and no light I'm doing the dp, but if there's a ses light on at all time, I'm not doing that to my daily. Also, what is this idle issue ppl are having at stops? Is it all the time? Just a few concerns im having before spending the money, time, and effort.

I'm a noob to the forum so thanks everyone.
JB4 autoclear removes the code completely, no SES; but, you won't know if there's a bigger issue looming in the shadows either.

I'm seriously about to just pull the trigger and get an expensive high-flow catted DP. I am not really having any idling issues but I'm not a fan of my JB4. I will probably switch to Cobb AP for tuning once I get that high flow cat.

Actually real codes still show a light in dash. Only passive codes are hidden. Remember though catless downpipes are only for dedicated race cars!

On the E series N55 JB4 are you using the new N55 ISO firmware yet? I hear it's a pretty significant upgrade in terms of smoothness and power compared to the integrated firmware they ship with.

You mean this:

iO2 V3.0 CatSim universal oxygen sensor simulator - $79.99

Havn't heard from anyone who has tried it, but it looks like it is a real solution. You can find them on another popular BMW forum. Some testimonials on there too!

Really? Even after you cleared it? From what I saw, this worked for a lot of people. You contact the vendor?

Weird, had my AR Design catless dps installed today by a shop on my n55, no cel. Only "tune" I am running is the BMW PPK. Have turned off and on the car several times today, driven about 50 miles and no cel. Was expecting one post-install....

What gauge wire did you use for the black wire after you removed the catsim? 22 gauge?

The JB4 no longer needed the purple wiring that goes to the MAF, so I cut and used a piece of that. 22 should work as long as it's rated for automotive use. (High heat)

The positaps seem to be holding fine, but ill probably check the tightness of them in a few weeks.
