Anything but VMRs!
Yes, I am new and I No.... I haven't made an intro thread, but I also didn't look for an area to do such.
Anyway, I have been browsing the forum for the past few weeks while here in Afghanistan... And I noticed that pretty much EVERYONE has just VMR wheels or similar in design to them. (btw, I am here for work.) Now, I understand the car is limited because of offsets and sizes but it just seems like there would be something else out there and people are scared to try it. So if you have ANY other style of wheels, other then VMR spokes let's see them! |

i think some Japanese style wheels havent been explored yet. Im sure there are compatible offsets
example of 3 series offsets working with fender work and being selective of tires http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=685334 I personally like to see more options with Lip, that do not break the bank lol I think the forums have a lot of bias to some brands for the ability to run 255 rear tires and track use

It isn't that I am hating on the VMRs at all, I just want to see other options for the car.
I am wondering what all is out there and can look good, not necessarily outrageous but this is going to be my fun car when I get home from Afghanistan. I like the HREs, but those are the same look as the VMRs just a different cost/name. Let's see something with a nice lip! |

BBS LM always look good, on everything ( recalls carloung/vwvortex photoshop thread)
there are replicas for 800 favoured on the forum. Nice lip search for a thread smth like: i cant believe i got replicas. I think Breyton Race are cool too, fragile if used with RFT

After many hours of browsing and searching and looking, I don't know how I feel about a lip on a lot of the wheels. I might be getting brainwashed by all the VMR spokes with a concave face to them! :AHHH!RUN!:
I still have time to search out and try and find something unique and different. I would love to see some Volk CE28Ns on this car, I think that might be the perfect mix for this sort of setup. |

I understand what you mean about the CSL style wheels. For a while I loved mine, but when literally everything you see on a 1 series is that type of wheel it gets a little old haha. I had to change it up this year.
I have Miro STP-3's but they don't make 'em any more..
