Anyone Seen Xenon to LED Retrofit Headlights

Pretty straightforward, has anyone ever done an LED headlight for the 1 series? No I don't mean LED angel eyes or eyebrows. I mean an LED output like they have on modern cars. The one thing I'm jealous of from modern cars.

I need to replace both headlights on my 2010 (age not damage) and would definitely be seeking the most possible light on the road for nighttime driving. I reached out to O.S.S to see if they've ever done anything like this, but has anyone ever seen it done before on this platform?

I personally don't see the point in 'upgrading' xenon to LED. It's arguably a side-grade if anything. Especially with the amount of effort required. I would first try a brighter xenon bulb replacement.

If you are dead set on LED, I would imagine it would be easier to buy Halogen housings and throw in the LED's made to replace halogen into those. I'm unsure what the coding implications of that would be...

I'm very pleased with mine. 2013 135Is. Maybe they're different than earlier years?

Got pics? I wasn’t aware of an LED headlight being available. I’m afraid you are likely talking about the angel eyes not the bulb?

Is it really not an upgrade? All I know is when I see a Tesla on the highway it is throwing way more light next to me than my 2019 540 does even with its newer gen xenon’s. I’m open to suggestions on how to improve light output on those and the 135 xenon’s (once I get new oem ones if that’s the case). I don’t particularly crave the look of the LED or anything, I just want to see as well as possible at night.

ultimately you should do your own research on the subject and not just take my word for it. but IMO it's just not worth going from xenon to LED. halogen to LED is another story...

i fitted some D1S LED bulbs into the xenon fitting, plug and play.
major difference.

They were quite inexpensive.

Fitted 8th dec 2023, and so far just as they were day 1.

Sorry! No, I meant I'm happy with my stock headlights.
