1M Akrapovic Southern BM Install

It has been a long time coming but finally the Akrapovic system arrived at SouthernBM Melbourne late in the day Thursday last week. Andrew @ Southern called us and gave us the green light, so we brought two cars to Melbourne from Canberra (GREAT fun not), one of which would spend some quality time in Moorabbin.

More Here:---- SouthernBM

Here we go:

First Things first, ESS.......

THE box full of goodies...

THEN up on the hoist.

I will add some comments WHEN I get a drive of the car

Looks awesome! So the two inner outlets go through the muffler and the two outer are straight pipes?
Need sound clips stat!

That is one sexy exhaust...

Interesting how there's a combination of muffled pipes and straight-through pipes.

Love the muffler design and the craftsmanship, the only modification I'd make to the entire system would be to have it coated black instead of silver.

When you got an aftermarket unit that looks better built than stock - you know you've got a winner!

Beat me to post it.

Thanks for the images that you posted, it was a fun day wasn't it. I see a few behind the scenes style shots of the video being prepared. If you can send me the images i'll add them to the gallery on my website if you want.

I've looked at the pics in this thread at least 4 times... I'm still of the opinion that spending this much money on an exhaust is a bit over the top but you really get what you pay for...

Got an Akro system on my bike - they are an excellent brand, great rep in the bike world.

Sounds nice too.

Does this one gain much power though? Main gain is the downpipe on N54's.

Only about 15hp - ie 10kw. The downpipe have a cat that is only 40-50% flow, ie replace that to a sports cat downpipe, or catless will yield quite a bit of gain.
