USPS shipment arriving just in time for the weekend :D

Decided to change camp will load it up tonight and see what the difference is between the two

Some exciting stuff for COBB this year! ATR, RB Turbos, Meth Integration and N55 support.

Going to be interesting!

Will most likely see my Procede on the for sale soon

Hahaha nah I am not that crazy, this was part of my last purchase of last year.

I am still keeping true to my word of no more mods this year.

It just took so damn long to arrive bloody USPS!

The COBB AP is bloody small is like the size of my iphone very unexpected!

And yes go with COBB with the GTR

Nice one Ray. The best part is the install. Interested to hear your thoughts on the COBB tune.

What is the cobb tune going to offer that is superior to the jb/procede? Might be getting procede put in tomorrow but still curios as to how it will be a better tune.

I suppose you go to do your own research but I have done a lot of reading and it seems COBB (or any other flash tune for matter but it seems only COBB is willing to put more R&D on our platform) will have more potential in the long run over the piggy. That is my personal opinion anyway don't want to start a war.

The ease of installation is also a +1, it gets very annoying taking apart the piggys!

As of right now though the piggy is probably winning since they have meth and upgraded turbo support. Though we should see those coming this year

Other then that right now COBB, JB and Procede are about the same and is all a matter of preferences.

Correct you can datalog (which has more parameter then the piggies eg. timing on all 6 cylinders), read and clear codes, reset ecu, 1-100km timer, quarter mile functionality and you also have the ability to use it as a gauge for any parameter of your choosing.

Thats all the functionality I have explore so far.

Installation was really easy, 10 min to back up your stock ecu and another 10 to flash it!

no vin locking at all!

Damnit so I guess I've lost exclusivity as the only COBB owner in the country!

They support 1M but does not officially support Australian's car for the 135i or the 1M.

I pulled the trigger since they started supporting European's car, I figure we are close enough

so far so good only had it for a day (I like it better then the procede so far), I am planning to do a few runs and log it to make sure everything is all ok.

then I will do a review.

it was $795 delivered.

I am not familiar with ESS tune but from what I gather the ESS handheld is just a flasher and it has no other capability like data logging?

Also from what I can tell COBB is doing a lot of R&D onto this platform such as upgraded turbos and meth. Not sure if ESS are doing the same thing?

Haha enjoy. Actually, will be interesting to hear a direct comparison vs. procede by someone who's used both.

I suggested COBB a while ago in the 1M mods thread and was shot down pretty quickly for some reason.

The COBB is way beyond the capabilities of ESS as a device (+it's cheaper and constantly updated), but not sure about the direct power output comparison for the 1M tunes.
