iPhone 4S snap in adapter

Just picked up my 1er with navi, bmw apps and assist. BMW connected and apps in general constantly disconnect after 30 seconds, sometimes not showing up at all. Anyone else have this problem?

UPDATE 1: Went to two different dealers. Both could not get my snap in adapter to register my iPhone 4S. One of the dealers suspects BMW sent out a bad batch of adapters ending in serial number "02". They said another person came in with the same adapter but when they switched it out with a new adapter ending in serial number "04". Everything worked. Unfortunately they've run out and have no idea when more will be in stock. I'm supposed to wait a week, call in and see if any are available. Not a good start to a car that I just picked up on the 20th.

UPDATE 2: Faulty adapter. The new one works perfectly.

Yes I had this exact issue when I did euro delivery in January. I mentioned it to the Performance Center (where my car is now waiting). They are going to try to diagnose and repair before I take delivery in 2 weeks.

I have heard of this happening to several people. Some say the adapter was bad. However, I tested mine in a 5er at my local dealer and it worked fine. Others said that the wiring from the armrest to the COMBOX was bad/pinched causing a poor connection.

Let me know if you find out more.

Definitely keep me updated man I just got my car too. Sucks to think there's something already wrong with it. I made an appointment with my dealer this Saturday so hopefully it's just a faulty snap in adapter.

The tech at the performance center said it was a faulty adapter. He replaced it with a new one under warranty and tested it for 20 minutes. I take delivery next Thursday.
