Thank you, FedEx...the CS7s have arrived!
The packing on these is phenomenal and they look fantastic in-person. Tires (Conti DW) get mounted Monday and hopefully wheels will go on next weekend. Can't wait!! Pics of them mounted will follow install post haste!

Well, my car is embarrassingly filthy at the moment and so I'm reluctant to put the wheels on until I get the car clean. But, we'll see how long I can wait!

Ah! I like the choice of silver! Only a few people go with the classy "stock" appearance of silver. Makes it look cleaner IMO. You won't miss those crappy stock 17's EXCEPT----
The only headache of these rims is cleaning (instead of the usual 1-2 min/wheel its like 5-7...) But if you do get lazy once in awhile you can say they are gunmetal gray

I've had wheels with similar designs on other cars so I'm well aware of the cleaning challenges. My solution in the past was to wipe the wheels down regularly with quick detailer spray. We'll see how it goes. Also, my car's due for new front brakes in a few thousand miles and I'll probably put on low dust pads to help the situation.

I'm pissed I had the wheels delivered to a friend's house and so today was the first time I actually saw the wheels in-person. The pic above was sent to me by a friend. Anyway, there are a number of quality control issues with the wheel finishes, not the least of which are: cracking in the silver paint beneath the clear coat in several places on one wheel, actual brush strokes on one of the barrels, and significant pock marks in numerous places on another wheel. Needless to say, I'm extremely pissed. I reached out to Alufelgen and I'm waiting to hear back. Grrrrr…

No word back from Alufelgen yet. At this point, the tires are mounted and the tires on the car are shot. These were/are the only 1-series CS7s available in the country so another set would mean weeks and weeks of waiting. Basically, I'm screwed and so I'm only looking for monetary compensation or similar. Fingers crossed that Alufelgen makes good.

I hope everything gets worked out. I love these wheels, and will most likely be getting them soon.
Slightly OT: does anyone know where to get the ///M sticker/emblem that goes in the empty rectangle near the wheel center caps? |

As for the ///M stickers, I picked them up from Tischer BMW (getbmwparts.com). They had the best price on them at the time.

The barrels on my CS7's look about the same as yours. I have one or two little rough lumps but nowhere near the amount in those photos.
As for the M stickers, Alufelgen did say they'd send me some when they had more made (same with centercaps) but after a few months I just ordered the genuine M stickers. They're about 7 bucks apiece but should last better than knockoff stickers. I'd definitely try and see it through to get some replacements though, I have silver cs7's on a white car and am really happy with the fitment & how they look on the car. |

Just heard back from Alufelgen and they're offering to replace all four wheels and cover all shipping costs. Now that's customer service! We'll see what happens from here.
