And yes, the Supersprint headers are definitely worth quite a bit. In addition, my peak numbers were definitely low thanks to the engine going into safe mode from the ambient heat, so realistically it should be higher still.

Hey Stig, I figured I'd come over to you 1ers for once
Do you think that with evolve, you could hit in the upper 250s for whp once you dyno again?

I don't think the upper 250s on my current tune, but 250 is doable.

That is sick!
I think 253/254 is the magic number to get 300hp.

I am debating if it is worth it for me since I already have 281whp and 281wtq out of my 128i. I did a 90 shot of nitrous! If I get the same results as TheSt|g, then I should end up around 325whp and 311wtq. But I don't know if the cost:hp is worth it to me!?! But I really do want to break 300whp and 300wtq!!! Hi. New to this site and I am trying to find someone who can flash the computer in my 325xi wagon. I have already installed the three stage intake and have no plans of adding any further modifications and would like to use the AA software. I live in the S. F. bay area and have not found anyone so far to do it. I would like to have it done in the car to make sure it works properly if possible. My last resort is Auto Talent in Carson, CA. (SOCAL). Thanks for any help.

Two quick questions
1. If i have an N51 engine does that mean it is definitely SULEV? (I checked the VIN online and its an N51 but I am not near the car to check the sticker under the hood) which brings me to... 2. So sadly N51 engines can not upgrade to triple stage intake manifold or any intake manifold upgrade? this seems like a mod where a lot of power can be made, it would be unfortunate to miss out on its potential! |

As a question, does the Simon device allow one to read fault codes and clear service interval lights? If yes, are there additional expenses to access a 'master code' list or similar? Perhaps it is like the BPC device which only serves as a flash 'enabler'?

To be clear (because I personally misunderstood) the Simon tuner does not retain any information, it is only a communication device between your OBD and your laptop (where you have to download the Simon program). It's also worth noting that the Simon 3 requires a PC, which was inconvenient since I only own a Mac. The process for me was to download the program, hook a battery charger up to the car, plug the Simon cable in and download information from my car to the Simon program. This took about 90 minutes, and then the file was sent to AA. The following day they returned the adjusted tuned for my mods. Hook the car back up, plug the Simon back in, and 15 minutes later the tune was done. Fairly easy process. My only issue is that the Simon does not hold any data, like the Cobb tuners do. To be clear, I do love AA, their customer service is great and turn around on the tune file was very quick! Hope this helps |

Many thanks to The Stig for his install directions. My son and I completed it this weekend. Also changed spark plugs at 59k miles. Now waiting to get my updated tune from AA. I wasn't expecting much until I get the tune, but did feel more power already, maybe from the plugs, old ones didn't look very good.

If cost is no object, the Super Sprint are near (or are) equal length and supposedly provide a more broad powerband, otherwise Active Auto works well. For software, Bob@BPC is going to be your best bet. |
