BMW Performance 135i and 335i Power Kits - N54 and N55 engines - The facts.

OK,

Let's put this to rest once and for all. This is a scan of the Australian Dealer Aftersales Bulletin - with Recommended Pricing - sent to all Aussie Dealers:

The pricing at individual dealers may vary and it doesn't have a recommended labour cost but everything else is in there.

Can one of the mods sticky this so we don't get a new thread every 3 days?

Thanks.

If it is the same BMW part number then it is the same part LHD/RHD.

You could buy the stage 2 hardware and have it installed cheaper than via this product set from BMW.

Yeah that's what I'm interested in too, but waiting to see some solid reviews.

$1.8K for 20 hp and 30nm = not worth it in my opinion. TBH, you wouldn't be able to feel a 20hp difference, and the 30nm of extra torque would only offer a slight tingle.

Unless there is something else in the SW update which makes tweaks to the transmission logic (DCT), engine (fueling / timing) then I don't see how the figures stack up???

From what I gather, a JB or Procede will cost around $1K and the gains are far superior to this?

Exactly. And if you fancy the idea of a better fan, etc you can get a better solution with better hardware for less money. If you've seen the "additional radiator" you'd know it's the smallest little thing ...

This bundle only suits those who are Hell bent on retaining 100% BMW and flawless warranty situation.

I wonder what the $282 brake ducts look like... that is probably about the only thing on that distribution that sounds worthwhile.

LOL here's a thought... you pay $1.8K for a sticker and half a day without your car, BMW will rely on the fact that 90% of punters won't be able to tell the difference :P

The biggest plus!

As well Insurance is fine and it "may" add to resale value of the car, lastly when selling your pride and joy you can market the fact that the car has the factory option as opposed to not revealing that the car has been modded (because MOST people would prefer to buy a used car that has not been modded).

Now, if they just come up with a kit for the 1M.............. (as opposed to those tacky stripes)
