Let it snow...

Got these on tonight, just in time for the next snow forecast for tomorrow. Bit dark, due to the diddy onboard flash. ASA AR1's with Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's (yes from tirerack ) Didn't even have to reset the TPMS.

UPS delivered 3, then one more today. Duh. BMW had tightened the old wheels SO tight when they rebalanaced them for me that I had to jump on the wrench to loosen them. Thanks, morons, I reckon at least 400 ft lbs given my weight x distance x jump force.

Anyway, they ride soooo much smoother than the runflats: I am seriously considering getting new summer tires too. Grip at 27F is equivalent to the stock Potenza's which are horrible on cold salted roads even in the dry. I'm pretty happy with the Dunlops: we shall see how they fare tomorrow.

Agreed! I am in the mood for some snow too. The more the merrier. Bring it!

325xi 5 speed parked in the garage and ready for the snow that is coming tonight. Pics below from the last big snow we had mid December. Meanwhile the 135 sits peacefully in the other garage bay awaiting spring time fun.

Don't try that with the 1, even with snows... The fact that front wheels can't dig and claw the snow away makes it very difficult to drive in snow over 4-6 inches deep.
