BMS DP Fix for 1M N54
Anyone here running the BMS DP Fix v3 successfully? I have a new 1M and want to install my catless DP's that are still sitting in the delivery box. With all the facts surfacing about BMW's ability to now detect flash tunes and subsequently voiding your warranty, I want to know if this DP fix is a solution for me. Will this trigger any "anti-tuner" coding in the ECU that BMW will be detecting with their new scan tool?
Thanks for any comments. |

I have ran the COBB tune and had two charge-pipes replaced under warranty, and the regional tech downloaded my info and did not find anything. (I uninstalled the tune of course) Therefor, I do not see how it would be possible to detect it other than visual inspection. You can always email Terry for support. He usually replies very quickly. |

I emailed Terry and he only responded that the DP fix would work. He did not address my question as to BMW now being able to "see" that a car had been tuned and therefore voiding the warranty.
Is anyone here using the BMS DP fix? |

You're right to a point - but in my mind I don't consider tasteful cosmetic mods or most bolt on's "messing" with it. When I change the turbos or change the tune and push 18-20psi of boost then I am probably "messing" with it. You just can't have the stock sounding exhaust on a car like this!
