[QUOTE=11N55;8632672]Seeing that the 335 had twice the power gain in HP/TQ any chance that the numbers stated were N54 vs N55

Awesome. Can you tell us if we will get the no-lift-shift, launch control etc?

Christ, that's a lot of torque...
Gary, any idea when the N55 AccessPORT could be available? Also, are you expecting similar gains as the twin turbo N54? |

No ETA or confirmation on the availability of flat-foot shifting has been mentioned. Simply put, once more information is available...I'll be quick to letting you all know! |

As far as updates, that can be done via your PC or Mac via the AccessPORT Manager software. When a new firmware release is announced, simply plug the AccessPORT to your computer, run the AccessPORT Manager, Update the firmware, and BAM! If there are map revisions, the new maps will be available for you to reflash your vehicle (using the "change map" option) and you will have a newer version flashed to your car. |

Professional tuning shops will be able to purchase AccessTUNER Pro software when it becomes available. We have many Pro Tuners in our network that will be using the BMW tuning software, and we hope several new shops will join us as well.
If you've got a favorite tuning shop you work with now and are interested in the AccessPORT and a custom tune, be sure to let them know. New tuners will come on board if the demand is there from their customers. Gary |

So lets say prior to the purchase, you inform us of your modifications. The tuner will then set up a base map for you with your needed specifications. You will then receive the AccessPORT, flash your car with this map, and begin a datalog session. Transfer the log from the AccessPORT to your computer via the AccessPORT Manager software, and send the file over to your tuner. Back and forth, and you will have a custom tune at your fingertips to your vehicle's specifications. It's technically what we consider, an e-Tune. |
