Well back on topic here.
Dinan does not reimburse dealers to reflash their software if it is erased for a reason other than a Dinan update. It is only done at no cost to the dealer, other than a list of productive time by the tech. So when the car most likely got a software update via a recall for hpfp programming, the Dinan would have been erased. Now if the dealer that did the software update either wasn't a Dinan dealer and couldn't reflash it, or was unaware that it had the flash previously, it would not have gotten reflashed with Dinan. They do have 3 different stages available. Since all 135s have oil coolers from the factory, it would most likely have stage 2 that requires an OC. A simple dealer check of DCS will show a comment about the Dinan boost upgrade was installed, but which dealer and the mileage. Now as far as boost measurements go, the boost varies by altitude. The car will add 1 lb of boost per 1,000 feet of elevation over 4,000. So Albuquerque is around 7k if my memory serves me correctly, right? So a stock car will run about 11 psi at that rate. A Dinan car would be more in the 16 psi at his home elevation. This is a logic that no flash tune over writes, and certainly no piggyback either. So, have your dealer pull DCS to confirm it should be installed and ask them nicely to verify that with their laptop. It shouldn't be a problem. Take your advisor a 12 pack or bottle of wine in advance and see if that takes care of it. ;-) Your other option is to grab a boost gauge and hit the streets to see what the car is actually making. You don't even have to fully install it. Just T it in under the hood and tape it to the windshield, it won't take long to go do a couple pulls and check it out. Best of luck! 5er |

This is my guess as what has happened to my car. When the local dealer (Dinan authorized) did the HPFP recall and supporting ECU update last June (right after I bought it) they did not know it previously had Dinan Software installed. If this is the case they should cover the labor to put the Dinan software back on since it was their mistake. I will know more Thursday when I take it in. If I have time I may look in one of my sheds to see if I have an old boost gauge laying around. my scan tool had a MAP reading but it maxes out at 35.4 inHg (about 3psi)

Took it in this morning and it did not have the Dinan Software installed. Dealer installed the Software, did a standard scope, vehicle check and washed and vacuumed the car out. They said they contacted Dinan and Dinan agreed to pay for the labor to re-install the software. Warranty covered everything else

Wasn't that much easier than trying to read boost and guess if software was installed or not? |

Well I have the worlds worst but dyno but it really doesn't feel much faster. I would appear as the traction control seem to kick in easier in first, and sometimes it also kicks in in second gear (don't recall it doing that before). the powerband seems more linear (smoother) if that makes any sense.
Found a boost gauge in the shed and it peaks at 15psi but seems to hold 14psi through the mid-range pretty easily in 3rd and 4th.
