Also, I suggest waiting till you've actually received your 1M before trying to sound like such an authority on its various characteristics such as ride quality and difference from a 135. You might sound like less of a windbag.

Double fisted Koolaid drinker here.
Thank goodness, my brakes sure felt fine at Barber Motorsports park, I might have had to put one cup down lol. |

Back on topic: If I had to do over in my position now (after driving a 1M and comparing to a 135), I would probably pay around 5-7k extra....I would just remove some options so that I'm not paying 60k+ for a 1M. At a 60k+ price tag, I would more likely consider an M3 over a 1M (but never the 135...sorry, that's just my opinion). I think ALL dealers are charging over MSRP now, so if you want one....JUST DO IT!

I could roll with a new E90 M3 sedan at 50K for a little while.. but I agree.. it was a distant second for me.. I was considering picking up one used in the low 40K range if I couldn't get the 1M.. The Z4 M was tempting but not really the right car.. haven't driven a Cayman yet. |

The problem with that is that we've run out of pudding so s/he is just going to have to imagine what it tastes like, or read about other people's opinions lol

I think that if you're a BMW enthusiast [or just a car enthusiast in general], you'll really get a kick out of this months Bimmer magazine; article entitled "The Fun One". Quote:

All I can say is management is choosing to ask that.
You can offer whatever you'd like and I'll bring it in... I'm not a fan of huge markups at all - and I'll fight for it... 10k might do it... Last edited by 2ndtimesacharm; 11-01-2011 at 07:14 PM.. |
