At the bmw.ca 135i configurator in the vehicle detail, under Seating.

Are you referring to 'Convenient Entry'? It is standard equipment. It allows you to quickly move the seats forward, then return the seat to it's original position by using the handle on the top of the seat back.

Thanks for the reply Lester. No, I am actually referring to Confort Entry To The Rear Seats according to bmw.ca. Isn't this supposed to be a little button (electrically) on the top that makes the entire seat move forward and back?

I thought that the electrical convenient entry came with the electric seats.

That's how I understand it...and as our car has it.

Finally found a sales guy who actually KNEW about their products and he tells me that only the power seats come with this button on top by the latch that enables the seat to move forward and back.

It does, and I've had both, the power on an e92 and the manual on my e82. And honestly the manual version is much quicker to operate. My only complaint is that if you aren't careful the seat will not return to its original position. And without memory seats this takes a bit of adjustment.

Seems like the majority of sales people just bank on knowing about the 3 series. I've got a friends at Budds, if anyone ever needs a recommendation.

Yeah my car has that. Its nice when trying to put things in the back or get passengers in the back because the regular lever for moving the seat forward or back is in an awkward position to access if you aren't already sitting in the seat. Nice feature but again I don't use it much since I sit so far forward anyway the back is mostly accessible.

FYI:
  1. I think the buttons on the seat shoulders are for moving the entire seat forward/backward after folding it.
  2. I have a September-built 2011 with the Premium Package, and I can fold my side mirrors by pressing the little button to the left of the mirror select button.

Just to clarify guys, the little button on the seat shouder is to move the seat forward and backward and this option only comes with Executive package here in Canada. If you don't have the Executive package then you only get a manual latch on the shoulders.

Convenient Entry comes on all seats regardless of option packages, but only cars equipped with the electric seats get the switch - manual seats get the lever only. There has to be a way to get passengers in and out of the rear seat.
