Welcome to Darwin!

Initial impressions seem great, don't think you can go wrong with thes.

How's feel at breakaway? Do they slip progressively or snap? When you're ready.

Gazz, will do. Should be ready for a bit of fun this weekend. I will also comment as best as I can on track performance in 2 weeks.

I managed to take the car out for an extended run to one of the Natural Parks about 2 hours out of Darwin. Since I was 'virtually' done with the break in, decided the push a bit.

The grip truly is phenomenal, the response and handling were all there - although I wouldn't really say it's any more than the PS2s. The braking performance was really great too, especially when encountering a pot hole after a blind corner!

They see the track on the 15th so will be able to comment on how they go then.

So far they seem like a great choice.

Hi,

I was just wondering what size wheels are you running as I would like to run 225/40/18's all round as well. ATM I have 7.5" on the front and 8" on the rear.

Thanks

The wheels are the 261M (?) 18". Should be the exact same sizing as yours. I ran a square setup with 225 all around to dial out a bit of the understeer. The front looked a lot meatier than stock and the rear is the same as stock.

I got my RE-11's and Super Sports today. I have to say, just by looking at the 2 tyres side by side, the RE-11 looks much meatier and meaner. The PSS doesn't even look like a performance tyre in comparison but I'm sure it will be a different story once I have them mounted.

I've gone through 2.5 sets of RE-11's so I have a good feel for them. I hope the PSS's live up to the hype. The feedback so far has been very good to say the least.

The PSS's are going on my 19" SF-71's which should be here in a few weeks. I didn't like the tyre choices for 255/30/19 so I went with 265 so I could get the PSS's.

I'm currently using RE-11's on my 18" CSL's but I somehow got a nail in one of my rears so I bought some new 255's until the new wheels show up.

With Gill you need to pretty much know exactly what you want when you email/PM him. Gets things done quick smart but not the most helpful pikey with other stuff.

Thanks for the info. How did the larger tyres affect the steering response aside from less understeer?

Not much, the steering felt marginally heavier but I like'd that!
