Well, I usually start Happy Hour by meeting ppl at Bravo Bravo on Conneticut and K so we can plan it. From there usually hit up Dragonfly, Front Page, or Lucky Bar and after that get something to eat in the Conn/18th Street corridor or Dupont.

What about ya'll?

I actually do my HH's at local places here (in Ashburn and Sterling)... Ill do nightlife in DC and Arlington. I either in the clarendon area, or gtown. Every once in a while adams morgan.

I get off from work around 330 though, so I hit up early HH's.

When I lived in Oakton, I would always do Wednesday's at Rockbottom... Cant beat the prices on home brewed beer

I wanted to be a teacher... They wouldn't let me because I don't have a teaching degree (I'm Poli Sci) and since I don't have at least 5 years experience out in the work force I couldn't get into the accelerated programs sponsored by the county.

I actually used to substitute and I thought it was so much fun. I did middle school and high school and LOVED it. I always had to dress up and make sure to wear my badge though because I was stopped more than once for being in the hall after the bell rang...

I technically work for Perot Systems Gov't Services as a contractor but I work at a DoD site.

I used to work for an international association and my hours were much the same.

Yeah, teachers are hot... I had more than a few crushes on my teachers back in the day...

Note I said "international association". I worked for the American Society of Appraisers, (yes, they are international even though it's "American"...), in Herndon while I was waiting for my job with PSGS.

What kind of stuff do you do? My specalization was Comparative Pol: Pol Change and Dynamics so I'm really into this kinda stuff...

I am a Physics and Chemistry teacher. I love what I do, and wouldnt trade it for anything else.

People always say.. "it must be nice to have vacations off, and I would love to be a teacher to have the time off during the summer."

I put in my time during the year, and I want to. Not too many people can say that they LOVE what they do. I did work outside of education prior to, and really disliked it... Im content in my position...

Being a young male teacher can have its disavantages at times... I have my head on straight and would never consider any sort of relationship with my students. At the moment any female student suggests it though, Im automatically veiwed as a perv... I do have to be very careful in that regard...

geeslice... its never too late to become a teacher. Get your experience and get your provisional license. Im sure you would love it if you enjoyed subbing...
