M3 Rear Subframe Bushings - NVH?
128 6MT Sport with 56,000 miles (daily driver into Boston). I'm going to install Koni FSD's and am considering the M3 RSFB based on the many comments on this forum.
My question is: Does changing to these bushings add any significant NVH? Thanks to all in advance.

My biggest surprise is how much better the front suspension seems to work now with the firmer rear bushings. Also when you go over small dips or bumps at low speeds, or man hole covers... you will not have to contantly correct the steering to maintain a straight ahead driving line. Do it! The rear subframe bushings really help make the car feel better. My car had a shudder when going over potholes and manhole covers, and the rear bounced around badly under hard cornering. The car was much better after installing the bushings.

Buy them from Harold at HP Autowerks. Dackel is spot on regarding the front end of the car after the rear subframe bushings are added. I went one step further and added the M3 front control arm kit and magnified the improvement. GL

The installation is the only thing that's stopping me from the upgrade.

I would ask around at your local bmw dealers... ask them to look up the cost of replacing the rear bushing on a M3 or 1M(not on your car!). hats bc the 135i bushing get pressed out thru the bottom of the subframe axle... while on the M3/1M the front bushings get pressed out/in from ABOVE... which means dropping the rear axle. Most shops should not charge you more than six hours to do this upgrade. I believe Wade found a shop near the 'Ring to do his.

I'm waiting for Wade's update on his install. If all goes well I'll make the drive over there.

The only difference is the forward mounts must be pressed out from under to above the subframe. The rears come out (and go back in) from the bottom side. So in order to press in the forward mounts... you have to drop the rear axle a foot or two - to have enough clearance for the tool to get up in there.
