Tints and Dot Matrix (Front Windows)
Recently got my windows tinted (35% - 3M brand) and is looks great except for the dot matrix area on the front windows. Every time I wash the car or it rains, water seaps in between the glass and the tint
Anyone have a solution? I was thinking of taking the car back to the tinters and having them redo the windows with no tint on the dot matrix. Anyone done this and if so does it look good? |

No leaks, just water seaping in between the dot matrix where the glass is exposed outside the seals. Never reaches the non matrix tint area.
For sure will be getting it redone but thinking no tint on the dot matrix may look better but unsure! Edit: Just added pic, looked normal before wash this arvo and will dry out again in a day or so. What I mean is no tint on the dot matrix at all like the back windows. Dunno if it will look weird as rubber is black? |

Might look good or it might stand out as the one lighter strip of glass on the side of your car. The dot matrix on the rear windows is what drives me crazy. If you do get it done without the dot matrix tinted post pictures for sure.

Ugh. That tint shop needs to do a better job next time.
It may be hard to get the dots perfect but they can do MUCH better and you should not have any problems when it rains. |
