Has anyone else noticed that the parking brake doesn't always fully release?
I find that, when I go to drive away after pulling down the parking/emergency brake, the car will alert me that it is still active. I then realize that I didn't fully pull the lever down - it is maybe 1 or 1/2 click up.
Anyone else ever notice that this happens a lot? Or is my lever out of adjustment, or am I just lazy when pulling it down? |

noticed it to, also have the problem that i have to pull it up very high for it to grip. One day i'm going to have it looked at by the dealer, same for my horn, i really have to push it really hard as the first time it doesn't work. Car is 3 weeks old.

Then don't say anything. If you had waited a few minutes, you would have seen that I'm not the only one with the problem. No reason to be such a dick. |

I have something totally unrelated.
Ever since I moved back to BMW (been on MB for a while) I keep gripping onto the parking brake for no good reason. as if its my little armrest (well not really). Maybe I've been missing on a proper parking brake all these years |

You don't put the brake handle all the way down, yet wonder why the light comes on? I dunno, perhaps I'm the only one who sees the lack of logic going on. |

It obviously isn't user error, but imprecision related to the handle that requires some of us to readjust. |

Okay.. so are you actually putting the handle down as far as it will go, or do you stop 1/2 click up? |
