Quick question to the people who don't like the performance bumper. Have you ever seen it in person? If you see it in person it looks waaaay more aggressive than the stock M-tec bumper. It is hard to see in pictures (just like the beauty of the 1er is hard to see in pictures sometimes).
@Udub: Does that Kerscher lip even fit the performance bumper??? If it does then I may have to look into that. The rims are Vorsteiner V-302's and cost an arm and a leg and half of my brain....LOL...great looking wheels, but they don't still don't fit perfectly after over a year(supposed to be custom offsets) after sending them back once to get new center caps and check offsets (which the told me were correct). Bottom line is the vendor finally told me that one of my wheels probably need 2-3mm shaved off of the hub...WTF??!! Needless to say I will stick with cheap wheel options from here on out.... |

Kerscher has some interesting selections...but they intimate that the lip is for the "M" style front bumper:
http://www.kerscher-tuning.de/stylin...wert&width=500 ...not sure I would risk being the guinea pig to attempt to fit it to a performance style bumper. I still have my stock M bumper....I might change it up style-wise when I get back and throw it on there for shits and giggles. |

Adrean, yes I've seen the performance bumper in person. Don't get me wrong it's nice it's just not as aggressive as the m bumper which to me defines the way a BMW should look.
Just my opinion. Tennis Todd I'll have pics up next month...... She's beautiful I can't wait to post them. I did some custom work to the plastic pieces on the bottom of the bumper.

No it wont fit because that "splitter" is more then just a flat piece of carbon it actually flows with the lines of the MTech Bumper. We're a Dealer for Kerscher:
Part No. 3039501KER DTM Splitter for M-Front E82/88 Carbon MSRP $420.00 If theres enough BMW Performance guys that want this lip to fit on their bumpers we can work something out =] start a signup. If anyone's interested in the front lip PM me and I'll send over special 1 addicts pricing Also we're using the AMUSE E92 M3 FULL KIT for "inspiration" for the 1series in about 2-3 months =] |

^^^Not enough people around who dropped the money on the BMW performance bumper for Kerscher to justify creating one just for us...at least I think that is what they will say...but if they did decide to come out with something similar for the performance bumper then I am pretty much a guaranteed lock to purchase

Bringing this thread back alive, I'm looking for a front lip add on for my performance bumper too but the oem cf splitters are too expensive and too subtle.
Here's a pic of how it looks on my car.

Would anyone be interested in a lip similar to the Challenge GT lip for the M3. I have contacted them regarding making this, but would need more interest. Below is a pic for reference.
