An interesting story I thought I should share...
Let me paint a quick picture for you...
Friday evening, just got off the Great Western Hwy and am off on a little trip with the gf...anyway we pull up at a set of lights, somewhere in the katoomba - lithgow stint. It's a two lane road and this d!Ck head p plater on a bike has been weaving in an out of traffic and pissing people off. Anyway so I'm at the front of the lights and the bike makes its way to the front...so I decide I'm going to drag this fool off just for kicks and because he's annoying...you know you've all been there at some stage... Anyway so I launch the car I'm in...a new Merc C350 Coupe, a bit sacreligious on this forum I'll admit..but it's not mine and I'm hell keen on a 135i. Anyway so this bike disappears into my rear view mirror and then I here from the passenger seat "umm baby you better slow down there's a car driving next to us not in the lane"...so I go umm what do you mean there's no one next to us...and she goes "no on our left, not on the road" Sitting pretty much level with me was a blue 135i literally not in the lane and on the side and it started to really pull, you could tell it was increasing speed faster than I was so I slowed up and moved across to try and avoid an accident. So what do I take from this story? Well on paper a C350 has the same KW but 30nm less torque and weighs in more and F%cK me it seems to make a difference! I'm guessing the 135i didn't get the greatest launch or wasnt expecting me to take off like I did but it sure caught up and overtook me quick. I'm also curious as to if this 1er is on the forum? Firstly to say your a fool, but secondly to say nice car and you've got a pair on you! Hope you all found this interesting! |

It is interesting. I count 3 people in this story who probably shouldn't be on the road. Did I miss any?

LOL, did anyone else thought this story was going to end up with someone in a accident after reading the first two paragraphs?
As said above all 3 of you probably shouldn't drive/ride like this on public roads. Anyway back to the cars.... the C350 coupe is a quick car, it does 0-100 in 6 seconds and its pretty easy in terms of launching that thing... anyone can do it (I've got a new C-class myself aswell as a 135i) so I know how easy it is to drive new the Mercs. But saying that in a straight line its nothing compared to a piggyed 135i... |

What colour is the C350 now? And it's mighty kind of you to forewarn us that you're on the lookout to "source" a 135i.

The point was to show my admiration for the 135i and its evidently real world quick performance and a bit of a comparison...and admittedly there was a lot lf stupidity involved...didn't think a bunch of people owning cars putting out atleast 225kws would be such harsh judges!

Billing is as an "interesting story" is probably overselling it a bit. True enough, it is a story, of sorts...still waiting for the interesting bit.

But some can say they've never lost any points in almost twenty years of driving.

Craig, just because I've never been caught murdering people, doesn't mean I'm not a murderer :-p Just means I'm lucky...

Wow that's impressive. You sure you're not just nominating a deceased uncle as the driver of the vehicle.
