I wonder how the orange grille would look on a BSM? Any thoughts?

If we could source VO coloured vinyl we could get an amazing look.
Does anyone know if this has been done and/ or where to start looking? 3M has an orange vinyl but I doubt that it's a match. |

Hm, maybe rather not. Actually, it ain't bad to have some contrast.
Other example to illustrate the benefit of contrast: diffuser in body color. Below is a VO 1M Photoshop rendering of Summer 2010 which was actually quite a close call to the final 1M, which featured the rear in body color (thus including the diffuser part).

The M colours could be added to the edges of one of the grilles. Last edited by Roc'n///M; 03-29-2013 at 08:32 PM.. |

Elder lady checking in.
Hey,
I'm only 68 - I'm not that old. I am still working (I have to pay off my 1M) When I had my red e46 Japan red M3 I was at an Octoberfest and the rondel Photographer took a picture of my hand with matching nail polish resting on my M3. How is that for an accessory? Quote:

You're not old. You're vintage. Ain't nothing wrong with being a classic.

Received my M Color Grill vinyl stripes yesterday, installed them today.
A couple of things to point out with these: The Light Blue is a bit lighter than true M colors. The stripes come 5 of each color, very thin strips per color sheet. They are sized per series i.e. 1 Series, 3 series etc. Pealing these off the sheet I had the Red strip peal some of the paper sheet with it. It took a bit to peal this paper of the vinyl but it worked. They require a steady hand and good up close vision to install correctly. It took me 3 try's to get the Dark Blue - Purple done correctly. Install tips: I started at the top of the grill, pushed the strip as far in at the top as possible then apply down the grill fitting the vinyl to the center of the slat. Cut for fit at the bottom. I used a String and slipped over the Grill Slat at the top to help press the Vinyl down against the top and very bottom of the Grill Slat where my fat fingers couldn't fit. Time will tell how long these last. I would suggest being careful when washing your car.
