Sounds, like a plan to me! But hang on, if they cannot find a replacement new car the policy then reverts to the agreed value, hmmm $87k on the 1M, not good.

Guys,

I finally pick her up yesterday and unfortunately only had peak hour traffic and rain to "try her out".....

So far my impressions are similar to other posts, to put in context my previous cars have been - 335 Coupe, Maserati 4200 & 3200....so i have experienced both ends of the spectrum:

- great turn-in - sharp, precise and very good feedback
- very composed on our "B" class roads
- smooth power delivery - feels smoother than 335 (could be just new!!)
- gearbox very sweet

The rest i will leave to a nice long road test over the next couple of days.

One issue I would like feedback from the members on, I was told that the first service (2000km) would not be free they said it was new "BMW policy" for CY12. Also no supplementary manual which is now on order.

Congrats Pete..Love the VO.

The 2000Km service was never FREE in the first place..Most of us, who didn't pay for it, had to negotiate with the dealer.

Which dealer are you with mate ?

I hadn't seen a VO in the flesh ....so it was more than I expected, it is one of those colour that changes in different light - which is of course great.

The dealer was Trivett. I will give it another go but given I have the car it will be tough.....if not I will look elsewhere assuming I have no warranty issues to deal with.

Hey Zuzu - that was my plan as well.....not sure on early and I am sure my wife will want some sought of sleep in.....

I didn't have to negotiate mine, and I had it twice!! Yes they have used the wrong oil.

It's a M car thing, first intermediate service should be a freebie. I didn't pay for the M3 or the 1M, there was no discussion to be had.
