Not sure what you meant about putting the argument to rest. I hate the fact that I would have to carry a lose 40 lb object in my trunk of my sports sedan so I can have a spare. I am happy they didn't put run flats in the 1M but you still don't get a spare placeholder. What did you mean about putting the RFT debate to bed?

With the exception of the (travesty) X5 and X6 ///Ms, ///M cars have never had RFTs, and in fact, over the last decade and longer they never had spares (///M Mobility Kit). So nothing new here, in fact very much the ///M approach). I wish though they had redesigned the trunk floorboard so that they can fit a true quad, but I guess both the cost and timeline did not allow it.
